Built for independent retail. Each night, autonomous agents sign into your POS, reconcile sales, shipments, transfers and on-hand counts, then email you the five to fifteen items most likely leaking margin — before you open your doors.

Maple & Marlow — three items to walk first.
Triage in 10 min: walk the first three, sign off on the transfer, leave the rest.
How it works
You keep running your shop. The agent reads the POS you already pay for, cross-checks it, and writes a ranked shortlist you can act on with a cup of coffee.
You share read-only credentials for your POS dashboard — Square, Shopify POS, Lightspeed, Clover, QuickBooks POS or Vend. The agent uses the same screen you do.
Each night it pulls sales, shipments, transfers and on-hand counts, compares them against pricing and timing rules, and isolates the deltas the eye would never catch.
Before opening, you receive one email: the five to fifteen items most likely leaking margin, ranked, with a one-line reason per row.
Sample morning email
Three sample stores, three different shortlists — ranked by margin at risk, each row carrying a one-sentence reason so your walk takes ten focused minutes instead of three untethered hours.

POS coverage
Nightwren reads the dashboards you already use. No RFID, no cameras, no router swap, no new vendor in your inbox. Bring your existing credentials; the agent handles the rest from there.
Why Nightwren
Enterprise loss-prevention buys cameras, sensors and deep ERPs for chains. Nightwren drops a thin, owner-friendly reconciliation ring on top of the POS indie shops already pay for — no new screen to learn.
Owners get a ranked shortlist in plain English, not another dashboard to interpret. Ten focused minutes, then back to the floor.
Cameras, sensors and ERP overhauls that pay back only at multi-store scale. BPA, Petrosoft, PAR Retail, Trigo Vision, Spot AI.
What a category analyst does at a chain — except you can't keep one on staff for a 1,200-square-foot storefront.
FAQ
Reply to any email — Nightwren is the owner of one tiny shop trying to recover margin with software instead of cameras.
Nightwren uses a read-only staff account on your POS — the same screen view your team would see, scoped per store. Reconciliation runs against sales, shipments, transfers and on-hand counts. We do not request customer payment data, identity, or anything not strictly required to count on-hand versus sold. Credentials revokable in one click; deleted on request.
Reply with your POS and store name. We'll set up a sandbox read overnight and send your first ranked shortlist before opening the next morning.
